TSG59: Worn, torn, and distressed

Happy Hump Day! This card was made for this week's TSG challenge which is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Sandra. She has challenged us to make our cards look worn, torn and distressed. Usually when I think of this technique, I picture vintage/shabby cards in neutrals. I wanted to make a fun card that was both distressed but still bright.

* Card base is made out of Chocolate chip
* The blue/polka dot paper is double sided DP by American Crafts
* I embossed the blue with an embossing folder, distressed edges, sanded & stitched
* I cut a strip of the DP, polka dot face up, distressed edges, pleated the paper a bit and stitched up the center to hold in place.
* For the word layer I stamped the sentiment from the mini set Dance multiple times lightly, rounded corners, distressed edges & stitched.
* Flowers were stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black onto 140lb watercolor paper, watercolored with reinkers and paintbrushes, cut out, layered. Added an adhesive pearl to the center.
* The leaves were stamped in Kiwi Kiss onto white CS
* Sentiment (from Everyday Greetings mini set) was stamped onto SU DP in Chocolate Chip, punched out with SU punch and lightly sponged to help edges to stand out
* Made a 'tab' out of ribbon and adhered behind flowers.
